Live with Gratefulness

Did you know that the term "Abracadabra" comes from the Aramaic phrase "Abraq ad Habra," which means “I create as I speak”?

I just love that.

Are you ready to create gratitude and appreciation in your life?

Today I'm sharing two simple practices that you can use everyday, to create a state of gratitude and create a life you love.

Live with Gratefulness: Keep gratitude at the forefront of your life

  • Find a time that works for you each day

  • Write or say in your mind all of the things that you are feeling grateful for, taking a moment to picture each one in your minds eye. Ask yourself, "Why am I grateful for this today"?

  • Feel the emotions of love and appreciation you have for each thing…feel the experience of that gratitude in your body.

  • As you train your brain to look for all the ways that you are blessed, your brain creates the belief pattern that good is always coming to you, and people and things are here to help. (By believing that things are happening for you rather than happening to you, you also step off the triangle of disempowerment.)

Want to create even stronger habits?

  • Keep a gratitude journal, recording three to five things that you're grateful every day or week.

  • Write a gratitude letter – perhaps to someone whom you’ve never properly thanked. And if you can, deliver it in person.

That's it. That's today's lesson. I'll share another step (or two) tomorrow.
