Working one-on-one and in small groups with Dona Julia Calderon, daughter of Eduardo Calderon, one of Peru's most renowned shamans and healers, you will experience deep clearing and profound personal healing through fire, eggs, guinea pigs and flower baths – among the shaman's most authentic and powerful healing techniques.
In the evenings, we will work with Dona Julia to experience the gentle clearing, blessing and healing power of the sacred plant medicine San Pedro (Huachuma).
Used for more than 3,000 years by the indigenous shaman of the coastal and mountain regions of Peru and Ecuador, Huachuma (or Grandfather Plant) is revered for its ability to help open the doors of perception, release barriers and limitations, and connect you with your heart space.
With this beautiful and amazing plant medicine, we have witnessed deep wounds healed, powerful transformations take place, and permanent healing realized even for those who have struggled for many years with chronic illness, trauma or other issues.
This unique trip also offers the opportunity to discover the beautiful, unspoiled coastal desert region of Northern Peru and the picturesque colonial town of Trujillo, as we explore ancient sacred sites and amazing natural landscapes. On optional day trips, we'll visit the Moche Pyramids and the Chan Chan ruins of an ancient Chimor mud city, and experience the grandeur of the Temples of the Sun and the Moon, the largest adobe pyramid in Peru, beneath the volcanic peak of Cerro Blanco.
