Spike! Not the name of my new puppy ;)
Yes, I did recently get a new 6-month-old puppy… but his name isn't Spike. (It's Buddha, actually.) “Spiking” is when all of a sudden whatever is happening is too much… too much input, too much noise, too much isolation, too much overwhelm… and you find yourself no longer being the best version of yourself.
