Connecting down is the key

This is the fourth and last sharing in our month of connection.
We started with Connection to Self, because your physical body is the sacred vessel to access the divine.
Then we learned about Connection to Others, which is the single biggest indicator of your happiness.
Last week we danced with Connection to Spirit. You absolutely want to keep clearing the old limiting stories. Each time you re-remember you connect deeper, become more awake and “one” with Spirit.
This week is about Connection to Mother Earth which is one of the foundations of the shaman’s path.
Most energy workers, psychics, meditators have practices that are about connecting “up”. You too should connect “up” to the mystic realms of the star beings, gods, guides, and ancestors.
And you must connect down to the earth. It is the earth that provides abundance, nourishment, and a totally different kind of sacred connection.
Super simple overview - Our ancient beliefs, mostly from early Christianity during the dark ages, were that the feminine was evil and must be dominated. During this time, the Roman empire was trying to re-establish its power through religion and anything that questioned them was considered evil and banned, including working with herbs, ceremonies, drums, anything energetic that didn’t come from the patriarchal church. Bottom line - “down” was hell, where the devil lived, and you absolutely did not ever want to go there.
Although this archaic view has shifted in the world, being persecuted, ostracized, or even being killed for having a deep mystical connection to the feminine, have been passed down in our personal and global DNA.
Our fear of connecting “down” can be witnessed planet-wide. We as a global society have been asleep to the destruction/domination of the earth herself.
This is one of the reasons why the shamanic path is so critical in the world right now. Start simple and attract more abundance by setting your intention to connect “down” and give an offering (a drop of water, stick, flower, prayer) for our sacred earth. Bring praise and honor to the earth by doing this as part of your daily gratitude practice.
Stay awake, be open to seeing, and take action so globally we can be in right relationship with the earth. Create movement through picking up trash, planting trees, or creating a pond in your back yard.
Journey “down” again and again. Be awake so you can hear the voice of the Gaia, the mother earth, and all those that live on her. Connect to the elements of water, wind, fire, and air and hear and accept the gifts they have for you.
Such an exciting journey of connection!
Linda
P.S - I’d love to help you connect deeper to the earth. My audio guide The Shaman’s Journey is a great way to connect with the elements, connect to the Gaia, and connect to abundance from the earth.
